"The SLK 55 is awesome.  I went for a drive with my friend and he was in
a 2001 996 Turbo.  We lined up at a light and we launched.  I had to
feather the throttle to avoid wheel spin, but we were still dead even in
1st gear.  As soon as he lifted to shift into second, I leaped 1 car
length and kept ahead thru 3rd and 4th.  The 7-speed gearbox shifts way
faster than a "normal" driver using the manual.  Both cars are
generating about the same power (410 hp and 420 torque) with similar
weight.  The SLK, however, is so much more fun to drive - with the top
down and only 2-wheel drive it is a pleasant handful when the rear steps
out.  I've had the headers for about 8 months and I still get a grin ear
to ear when I get into the car. "

"On the CLK500 I have,  I've had the pulley on for 3 months and have
driven around 3k miles.  No issues whatsoever.  Definitely
can feel the much quicker spool up and torque improvement in low RPM as
I do on the SLK 55.  The pleasant surprise is that in the CLK500 I am
consistently getting 20 miles per tank more than before the pulley
install, which equates to roughly 1.5 MPG improvement.  The CLK500 is my
commuter which I use to commute 18 miles in arguably the worst traffic
in the country; Westside Los Angeles.  Clearly the lighter pulley is
helping out MPG matters in congested areas.  Highly recommend."
